I'm actually back to buy more and thought I would leave a review for the first one I purchased. After reading the description and several comments, this product is legit every animal in my house has tried to lay on it. Standing on it myself, I can absolutely feel that it's cool. I can feel that there is a gel like material inside, but it is layered in between two incredibly thick plastic vinyl like material that would not be easy to breakthrough.

I have purchased a number of other cheaper cooling mats in the past. This one is more expensive but when you receive it you understand why. It is very cool to the touch, it has some weight to it and it is a consistent thickness throughout. My dog tends to burrow on it before laying down and it shows no sign of damage. This is my second one since my dog liked the first one so much.
